The detector is equipped with an integrated pre-wired junction box and can be installed using conduits or cables and connectors, depending on site-specific standards.
Two basic arrangements are available. Combustible gas detectors provide millivolt bridge output signals for dedicated gas control systems such as Unipoint and are ATEX certified for use in explosive atmospheres. The toxic gas and oxygen detector are designed for use in non-explosive atmospheres.
They power a two-wire 4-20mA loop and can be used in combination with a PLC or a dedicated gas control system.
Signalpoint toxic gas and oxygen editions also offer local LED status display; The green light flashes periodically (good), yellow (warning), and red (alarm). Every second counts, which is why we designed this front-end sensor to ensure a fast response even in the face of "sticky" gases.
Easy to install. The junction box provides "invisible" mounting for wall and ceiling firmware. The hinged cover of the junction box ensures hands-free electrical connections via the M20 cable/conduit interface.
Maintenance requirements are simple and kept to a minimum. All users typically use the Honeywell Analytics family of industrial controllers and adjust them as needed. At the end of its life, simply replace the sensor before reconfiguring the controller. Sensor replacement kits are available to replace electrochemical sensors in toxic gas and oxygen detectors. For flammable gas sensors, simply replace the new box cover with the sensing element.
