Unipoint can be easily installed into any plastic or metal enclosure and can be used indoors or outdoors or even in potentially explosive hazardous atmospheres. With the addition of a Honeywell Analytics Series flammable gas, toxic gas, or oxygendetector, the system can be configured to monitor gases in a variety of applications, from parking lots and boiler rooms to analyzer sheds or crane cabs in offshore facilities.
Two versions of the Unipoint are available, one for millivolt bridge catalytic bead type combustible gas detectors and the other for any 2 or 3 wire 4-20mA type gas detector. Using a specially designed socket (supplied), the Unipoint can be easily mounted to a DIN rail that also connects power to surrounding devices. The use of detachable terminal headers allows for easy replacement of individual Unipoint controllers without affecting other devices.
By using fixtures to clamp multiple Unipoints together, small to medium-sized surveillance solutions can be built. Each unit includes a built-in sound/visual alarm, three programmable alarm relays, and a fault relay. Gas concentration and system status are displayed on a backlit LCD display, while each controller is fully programmable and user-operated via an intuitive push-button menu system. You can set password protection on the configuration menu to prevent unauthorized access. In addition, the remote input allows to accept, reset, and suppress alarms without opening the housing where the Unipoint is placed.
