The Honeywell BW/M5 5-in-1 Toxic Gas Detection Alarm can simultaneously monitor and display up to five hazardous gases, including carbon dioxide (CO2), oxygen (O2), flammable gas (%LEL), and multiple individual electrochemical toxicity sensors. The compact and lightweight GasAlertMicro 5 IR activates audible, visual and vibration alarms when low, high, TWA, or STEL alarm conditions occur.
The GasAlertMicro 5 is highly configurable to meet a range of application requirements as a diffusion or aspiration device, with alkaline or NiMH rechargeable and hot-swappable battery packs, and optional data logging capabilities. Its features generally include: prompt tone, automatic calibration, full-function self-test and more functions that can be set and used in the field.
Auto-zero: Yes
Calibration: Automatic
Background Light: Standard Mode: Low Light (Auto): Alarm Status: (Auto): Can be reactivated as needed
Alarm Mode: Alarm Status: (Automatic), re-activated as needed
Secret mode: The background light is not on, and the sound and light alarm is disabled
Sensors: Infrared CO2: plug-in, electrochemical battery type (toxic gas and oxygen): catalytic gas (LEL)
User field options: beep, set STEL cycle, forced calibration on start-up, enable/disable sensor, password protection, lock alarm, compensation level, user lock option with calibration, "SAFE" display function, secret mode, fast pumping, oxygen auto-calibration on start-up, alarm background light mode only, flammable gas measurement (%LEL or methane percentage), LCD language options, STEL calculation selection, TWA calculation selection, flammable gas correction parameter option, CO2 measurement (PPM or percent content), user-configurable calibration gas concentration, high resolution, clock
Alarm Indicator: Visual, sound/vibration alarms clearly show alarm status and level
Visual alarm: two bright flashing wide-angle alarm lights
The LCD screen shows the gas and alarm level that appears
Audible Alarm: A high-output variable pulse alarm sound of 95 dB at typical 1 ft./0.3 m
Vibration alarm: Vibration warning in the gas alarm state, or display other alarm conditions
Status Alerts: Low battery, out of measurement range, multiple gases/pumps failing, or sensor failure
Alert Levels: Instantaneous Low Limit Alerts for All Gases: Instantaneous High Limit Alerts for All Gases: TWA (Time-Weighted Average) and STEL (Short-Term Exposure Limit) Alerts for toxic gas/CO2
LCD: Continuous alphanumeric gas readings and status display Description:
Detection gas type: carbon dioxide
Gas concentration: Continuously displays gas concentration
Peak (max)/STEL/
TWA (PPM or %): Records exposure values and displays them when needed
Alarm Setpoint: Displayed at startup and when needed
Calibration Due Date: The number of days remaining before the start-up
Clock: Real-time hour hand setting that is displayed when activated or as needed
Testing:
Full-function self-test: Check the status of the sensor, the wiring and the condition of the battery at startup and give an audible/light alarm
Battery: uninterrupted
General specifications: impact-resistant composite material, double-layer injection-molded shockproof sheath
Operating temperature: -4 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit / -20 to 50 degrees Celsius
Humidity: 0% to 95% relative humidity without condensation
EMI/RFI: Meets EMC Guidance Specification 89/336/EEC
Protection level: high-performance waterproof and dustproof housing
Battery Options: Up to 10 hours (typical) with "heat swap" rechargeable batteries or AA alkaline battery packs in diffusion mode
Dimensions: 5.7×2.9×1.5 inches / 14.5×7.4×3.8 cm
Weight: 13.1 oz / 370 g
Warranty: 2 years warranty, including all sensors (1 year for NH3 sensors)
Data Logger Option: The user downloads the data logger
Data logging: all faults and events (zero calibration adjustment, measuring range calibration adjustment, gas reading, TWA, STEL, alarm
status, faults detected by the microprocessor)
Sampling rate: The factory preset interval is 5 seconds, and the user can set it between 1 and 127 seconds
Storage: At 5-second intervals, the 128MB memory card can store more than 8 months of uninterrupted data
It is suitable for industrial safety monitoring and on-site inspection scenarios.
