Shanghai, China, March 11, 2021——Honeywell was recently selected into Fast Company magazine's 2021 list of the world's most innovative companies, ranking among the top five in the enterprise category. Honeywell was named for its major breakthroughs in quantum computing and the rapid development of new products to help customers cope with the impact of the global pandemic.
The list, which features 463 companies from 29 countries and territories around the world, recognizes companies that have not only demonstrated resilience over the past year, but have also turned crisis into opportunity and amplified their impact.

After the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Honeywell responded quickly and produced tens of millions of N95 masks to solve the urgent needs of frontline workers. To improve the safety of air travel, Honeywell has launched an aircraft cabin UV treatment system, which uses UV light to clean the cabin, and recently launched a new and more portable version of the Honeywell UV Treatment Package, a lightweight handheld UV lamp design that can quickly and economically reduce pathogens on high-frequency contact surfaces, and is widely used in a wide range of vehicles from buses, trains, cars to small aircraft.
Honeywell also released healthy building solutions, including technology to monitor and improve indoor air quality and filtration. Honeywell's ThermoRebellionTM temperature monitoring solution provides fast, accurate temperature measurement without contact and is widely used for screening fever personnel in airports, distribution centers, stadiums, and other commercial buildings. In addition, the company has launched Aclar EdgeTM vial technology for COVID vaccines, an innovative pharmaceutical packaging solution that is more durable and safer than glass bottles, helping to ensure the safety of vaccines and other drug delivery processes.
In the same year, Honeywell also launched the latest quantum computer System Model H1 based on ion trap technology. Not long ago, System Model H1 achieved 512 quantum volume ahead of the previously released roadmap, becoming the largest commercial quantum computer with the largest quantum volume to date. This is also the third time in nine months that Honeywell has set a quantum volume record.
The World's Most Innovative Companies list is Fast Company magazine's flagship list and one of the magazine's most anticipated editorial achievements of the year, depicting cutting-edge innovations in the world's most dynamic areas of the economy and providing a roadmap for future growth.
