Honeywell and Zhejiang Petrochemical Sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) - News

    Honeywell and Zhejiang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. ("Zhejiang Petrochemical") signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen cooperation between the two parties and further strengthen continued cooperation in the business area of intelligent connected factories (connected processes, connected assets, connected people). Honeywell Process Control (HPS) will provide plant-wide DCS control systems, production management systems (MES) and operator skills training and management systems for Zhejiang Petrochemical's Zhoushan Item Phase II and other expansion items, as well as establish a system lifecycle innovation service center at Zhejiang Petrochemical to provide maintenance and technical support services for the control system.

Cooperation values include:

• Improve production and operation efficiency: Combined with the patented UOP process technology, cooperate to implement advanced process control (APC) and real-time optimization (RTO), and implement the integration of planning, scheduling and optimization on this basis to further improve efficiency.
• Increase production yield and reliability: Combined with Zhejiang Petrochemical's process plant data and operational experience and knowledge, we cooperate on the Honeywell Connected Operation Service (CPS) platform to provide plant safety, reliability and optimization guidance.
• Improve asset reliability and reduce unplanned parking: Monitor the dynamic performance of assets and process operations through digital twins of device processes and equipment, enable predictable asset maintenance, and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Improve production safety and operator skills: Use the latest virtual reality technology, mobile technology, and digital technology to promote operator skills training, process management of equipment maintenance processes, application of AR/VR technology, as well as production alarm management, DCS loop performance management, etc.

    The cooperation between Zhejiang Petrochemical and Honeywell began in 2017, and Zhejiang Petrochemical Zhoushan Integrated Refining and Chemical Item adopts a series of Honeywell advanced technologies, including process technology, catalysts and adsorbents, key equipment, and control automation technology. Zhoushan Refining and Chemical Integration Item is one of several large-scale petrochemical industry bases in China's latest economic development plan.
